The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.222-54 Employment Eligibility Verification, requires federal contractors and subcontractors to use the Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services’ employment eligibility verification program (E-Verify) as the means for verifying employment eligibility of certain employees working under covered federal contracts.
